When the Food Matches the Conversation: Behind the Menu at Blue Earth Summit 2026
“Pow Food is a brilliant partner at Blue Earth. It’s a natural partnership, built on a shared belief in the connection between human and planetary health. The quality of the food, attention to detail and the team’s delivery throughout each event make a real difference to the overall experience for our visitors and clients.”
What's the point of talking about a healthier planet if the food we're serving doesn't reflect those ambitions?
It's a question we believe more events and organisations should be asking.
For the second year running, Pow Food returned as Official Catering Partner of Blue Earth Summit, bringing our approach to sustainable event catering to Woolwich Works in London.
Over four days, our team delivered 3,509 meals and portions across 22 services, from speaker breakfasts and partner dinners to crew catering and our food stands.
But for us, the real achievement wasn't the number of meals served. It was the opportunity to show what happens when the food on the plate reflects the values being discussed on stage.
"Food is one of the biggest levers we have in the sustainability conversation, yet so often at conferences and summits, what's on the plate doesn't reflect what's being discussed on stage.
We believe human health and planetary health go hand in hand, and food is where the two meet."

So, What Was on the Menu?
We wanted to challenge the idea that sustainable, plant-based catering means compromising on flavour, variety or nutrition.
Our chefs created dishes packed with whole ingredients, organic produce and diverse plant sources, designed to keep people nourished throughout the summit.
The Curry Leaf
A warming Sri Lankan-inspired curry made with organic carrots, leeks, potatoes and chickpeas. Our team prepared over a quarter of a tonne of curry for the event, using 280kg of organic ingredients.
Each serving delivered 12 different plants, 13g of protein and was high in fibre.
Rooted Burgers
Made with organic tempeh, our plant-based burgers packed an impressive 35 - 45g of protein per serving, alongside 15 different plants.
Across the summit, our chefs used 105kg of organic tempeh to prepare 600 burger patties.
The Slow Broth
A comforting tofu pho combining 17 different plants, 11g of protein per serving and a low saturated fat content.
Three very different dishes, all demonstrating that food can be nutritious, satisfying and more considered in its environmental impact without losing the enjoyment of eating it.
Nutrition calculated using Kafoodle. Protein percentages are based on an adult daily reference intake of 50g.
The Story Starts Before the Cooking
More than 75% of the ingredients we use daily are organic.
But responsible sourcing goes beyond choosing organic produce.
It's about understanding where ingredients come from, how they're grown and the people and practices behind them.
For Blue Earth Summit, we worked with suppliers and partners including Langridge Organic, Healthy Supplies, Notpla, Firemaid and BBQ.
And when you're catering at this scale, those choices add up.
From hundreds of kilograms of organic vegetables to the packaging used to serve our food, every decision contributes to the wider impact of an event.
We also worked with The Future Forest on carbon mitigation associated with the catering, with a reported 1.74 tonnes of CO₂e mitigated, calculated using MyEmissions.
We know there is always more to improve. But we believe understanding our impact, questioning existing practices and making better-informed choices is how progress happens.
Taking the Conversation Beyond the Plate
One of our proudest moments at Blue Earth Summit wasn't actually in the kitchen.
It was hosting The Unpeeled Truth, our expert roundtable exploring how much we really know about the chemicals used to grow our food.
Bringing together voices from agriculture, public health, food businesses and sustainability, the discussion explored a gap in our food system: while we increasingly understand where food comes from, we often have far less visibility into how it has been grown.
For businesses responsible for feeding people every day, that matters, because food sustainability shouldn't just be about carbon emissions, packaging or food waste. It should also consider the health of the people eating the food and the environments in which it's produced.
Food That Reflects Your Values
Blue Earth Summit is a brilliant example of what can happen when food becomes part of an event's purpose, rather than simply another logistical requirement.
And it's an approach we bring to every organisation we work with.
As a B Corp certified business and the first catering company globally to achieve WELL certification, we provide sustainable corporate and event catering across London, from workplace breakfasts and team lunches to conferences, corporate hospitality and large-scale events.
We believe the food you serve should reflect the values of your business and make a positive contribution to the people eating it.
