Frequently Asked Questions
-
We're a nutrition-led, London based catering company built around long-term health and sustainability rather than these being add-ons. We're a certified B Corp, the first female-founded catering company to achieve certification, and the first catering company globally to earn the “Works with WELL” designation.
-
Yes. B Corp certification holds us to verified standards across social and environmental performance, so our credentials are independently assessed rather than self-declared.
-
The “Works with WELL” designation is awarded by the International WELL Building Institute, the body behind the WELL Building Standard for health and wellbeing in workplaces. It verifies that a product or service contributes to WELL-certified spaces, so as a WELL-designated caterer, our food is recognised as supporting the health-focused environments our clients are building. We were the first catering company globally to achieve it.

Healthy food doesn't just support wellbeing, it can help employees maintain energy, concentration and productivity throughout the day. At Pow Food, every menu is designed to make nutritious eating simple, delicious and accessible, helping teams feel and perform at their best.
-
A healthier workplace starts with the everyday choices people make, including what they eat. As more organisations prioritise employee wellbeing, healthy catering has become an important part of creating workplaces where people can thrive. At Pow Food, every menu is chef-made and nutritionist-designed to support energy, balance and long-term health, helping businesses invest in the wellbeing of their teams through food that's as nourishing as it is delicious.

-
Yes. Our catering services are designed to support informed choices. Within your confirmed menu, employees can select options of their choice, with different dietary requirements and preferences catered for.
-
Every menu is designed with guidance from our nutritionist, so dishes are built around gut health, energy, balance and long-term health rather than nutrition being an afterthought.
-
Our buffets are 80% organic, plant-forward and balanced, seasonal, and change regularly with a 4 week rotation. You can select your dishes from our protein mains, carbohydrates, hot vegetables, salads, soups and desserts of the day. The most popular buffet option is a 7 dish, with 3 protein options and 4 sides.

For day-to-day workplace catering, we serve a seasonal, nutritionist-led menu that rotates regularly and caters for all the usual dietary needs, so your team always eats well and has variety. And for events, bespoke menu design is core to what we do - whether it’s a formal dinner, a press launch or a brand activation. We build these menus around your occasion, dietary needs and any cuisine or theme direction, from straightforward plant based or low-GI options to specialised brain-food or skin-food curations.
-
Our menus are plant-forward by design, so there's always substantial choice for vegans and vegetarians, plants are at the core rather than an afterthought.

Menus & customisation
Dietary requirements, allergens & cross-contamination
-
Yes. We handle the full range of dietary requirements and provide clear allergen information for every dish. Share your team's requirements when you enquire and we'll build them into the menu. However, please note that while a specific allergen might not be on the menu, as food allergens are present in our kitchen, we cannot guarantee that any menu items will be completely free from a particular allergen.
-
Every dish is served with clear labelling, and allergen information is drawn from our allergen matrix as the single source of truth.
-
Yes. We regularly cater strict gluten-free and vegan requirements and label every dish clearly. For guests with medically strict needs, let us know in advance so we can advise on the safest options.
-
Yes. We can build menus that exclude specific ingredients - including red meat, pork, nuts or anything else your team requires, whether for dietary, cultural or religious reasons.
-
We prioritise seasonal British produce wherever possible and source over 80% organic ingredients. We work closely with trusted suppliers who share our commitment to quality, sustainability and animal welfare.
-
We advocate our packaging-free services first, however all of our packaging is recyclable or compostable and made using toxin free materials. We source from companies such as Notpla and Ecopak, and are continually reviewing and improving our packaging to minimise environmental and health impact.
-
Our approach spans plant-forward menus, responsible packaging, zero-waste kitchen practices, carefully vetted suppliers, and food-waste partnerships that redirect surplus to Londoners who need it.
-
Edible surplus is donated through our charity partnerships, City Harvest and the Marylebone Project, so meals help address London hunger rather than going to waste.
-
We actively monitor our carbon output across sourcing, packaging and operations and work to reduce it, then partner with Future Forest to support UK-based carbon projects that compensate for our residual emissions.
